OK well here is the story. Supermotard came to Colorado and you know us knuckle draging harley lovin .... hells angle type (or how ever TG refered that in the profile) couldnt resist going to see a race and an excuse to take all the back roads as fast as we can to get there.
Anyhow it was today. 180 miles and 180 miles back. MY ASSSSSSSSSS is sore. Anyhoo... was a blast and a new experiance all the way around since this is the 1st time an event like this has been held here.
Well we head up there and got to see a lot of things besides the race. great view, great Colorado Rocky Mt air, nice ladies, good food, lots of vendors, and they had demo bike from about ever manufacture up there to ride for about 30 mins or about 40 miles, And then you could switch and come back on a diff one. All on some of teh best mt roads. Ok all that said and done we went to the races. Now mind you these arent professional FMP and I dont claim to take any since my digital is only 1.3 mp. But we did get to see McGrath, Russle, Schwantz, Zemkie blaa blaa blaa turning some fast laps as close as you can get to a track. Was a BLAST. Here are some sample pix.

Ummmmm not sure if McGrath won... I know some other guy won the heat race we got to see. They had the events and demos WAY aweay from the actual motard races so we missed some of it. I will ask the guys who camped out there who won the big Kahuna. Member this is new for me.. the whole dirt bike doing street bike stuff but still looking like a dirt bike. Was cool though. I know McGrath was up front with Russle and Schwantz a lot. But I also heard someone crashed out. Not sure who. Though here is an inside tip.... A friend (ok well more like my wifes best friends recent ex husband) raced in the same heat races as them. He was only a few seconds behind them and actually did pretty good for a local boy.
What was really cool though was to watch a demo of the Trials bike. OH MY GOD that is insain what them GasGas's can do. [img]rolleyes.gif[/img]
When I get up tomorrow I will did thru the pix I took and see what I have to post.
As for the racing link. Member bike was broken :-( So we rescheduled for this Thur.) Just gonna go play since tires are too far gone to do anything really wild. With it being 90+ deg and us being out there all day I am sure they will be shot by the end of the day. [img]wink.gif[/img] Ahhhhhh it is only money right. BAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHA
